A Better Stove

The Ganesha Cookstove Project designs humanitarian stoves that let users cook the way they are used to - using the fuel they have on hand, cooking in the pots they already own, and making the food they love for their family.

The Ganesha Stove has 2 openings for a very specific purpose. In the lower opening, as shown above, users can put in wood of the type and size that they normally use. In the upper opening, they can put in all of the scraps of wood that they don’t normally use, corn cobs, dung, or agricultural waste.Made from 1mm stainless steel (type SS430, the same kind used in vehicle exhaust sytems), Ganesha stoves are designed to be used for 3-4 meals daily for 5 years or more.
